India has abstained from voting at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UN-HRC) session on Ukraine on Wednesday, September 25, 2014.
The session was held under the theme “Deteriorating human rights situation in Ukraine”.
According to the Indian government, the country had abstained from voting since India had not been consulted about this issue.Read now
On its website, the Indian mission to the UN said that India has expressed concerns over the deterioration of human rights situation in the country.
It added that India has called upon all parties concerned to exercise restraint and refrain from any action which may have an adverse impact on the human rights situation of the people of Ukraine.
India avoided in the UN Human Rights Council on a goal on the falling apart common freedoms circumstance in Ukraine originating from the Russian animosity, wherein the Council emphasized its interest for a prompt suspension of military threats.
